Our family volunteers with Pick-of-the-Pound. That’s how we got involved in fostering dogs. The following is a brief history of the dogs we have had the privilege to host in our home.
Jada
Jada was our first foster dog. She lasted all of a week before our 14 year old cat, Samantha, decided she’d had enough and kicked her booty. Happily, she was adopted at the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico Pet Adopt-a-thon in May 2005.
Daphne & Shaggy
We are happy to report that Daphne was adopted the first weekend after we got her at a Pick-of-the-Pound adoption clinic (and renamed Abby). Shaggy was adopted shortly thereafter by a family who saw him on the Pick-of-the-Pound web site.
Angel, Bear & Junior
Siblings Angel, Bear & Junior are the latest additions to our foster family. They are all very sweet and cute. We hope they find good homes!
Gypsy Rose
We’re happy to report that this sweet, rambunctious Aussie mix has found a loving home … ours!
Bunny
We are currently fostering Bunny, a sweet, little healer who is (mostly) deaf. She really deserves a good home, so we put together a little propaganda movie about her. Hopefully, she will find the right humans soon!
